yowee-ka-zowee!

Hello dear art lovers,
Here's a fun illo I did just for th' fun of it. Funny, huh?  Pen and ink on Strathmore vellum bristol 300 series (the yellow pads).  It was really fun inking this one!  I've been using plate finish bristol for a long time now, but when I first started drawing and inking at the Kubert school I used vellum (or kid finish) bristol.  It had a nice tooth to it, but it was murder on penpoints!  Forget th' crowquills and small brass points!  I broke and bent many a nib on that paper!  I've used my trusty Hunt's Globepoint 513 for as many years and it really takes a beating! I always tried to used it like a brush and get a nice thick and thin line (although nobody can beat Walt Kelly's bee-yoo-ti-ful brushstrokes on Pogo).  I used it more like the Hanna-Barbera comics inking.  So anyways, after much verbal diarrhea, here you go...
